About David
I am a husband, father, grandfather, experienced counsellor and trauma psychotherapist with over 10 years' post-graduate experience.
My counselling experienced includes the not-for-profit sector, sessional lecturing and private practice.
I have worked in the not-for-profit sector for several years and occasionally lecture at university in addition to independent practice as a Counsellor, Group Facilitator and Supervisor.
I provide individual, couples, family, and group counselling, utilising
integrative strategies to empower and facilitate rapid personal, relational and
professional change. I specialise in anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD.
My personal style is warm, engaging, and empathic and I quickly establish rapport with my clients.
Through ongoing personal development, I have gained core competencies in evidence-based modalities which has supported great outcomes for the clients I have worked with. I am passionate about individual and relational therapy and group processes and look forward to working with each client and collaboratively discovering the incredible worth and richness inherent within them.
For recreation and down time, I spend time in the Australian bush, write poetry and articles on relationships and spirituality.
